Tears in Heaven: Fingerpicking

Here’s a excellent beginner fingerpicking lesson on how to play Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton.  There are four basic sections to this song.  The the intro section, the verse, what I call the chorus, and the bridge.

Tears in Heaven- Eric Clapton

The trick to getting this song is learning the fingerpicking pattern.  Play the notes on the E and A strings with your thumb. And play the two notes on higher strings with your index and middle finger.  Once you get the feel of that the whole song should come pretty easy.
